Lunsford/Cleek/Alexander Families
Hi,
I am doing research on my dad's side of the
family. Let me tell you what I have so far and if anyone has
anything that they can add to it I would appreciate it very
much.
My GGrandfather was William S. Lunsford B 01/16/1893 no
one knows where. He apparently had two wives. All we know is
that his second wife's first name was Lucille. He had at
least one child, my grandfather, Lloyd Lunsford b. 01/22/22.
Grandpa "Bill", as he is reffered to in my family, died in March
of 1974. He is buried in Hardin County, IL.(don't know where.)
His wife Lucille or "Lucy" was born 02/22/1898 and died in
November of 1972.
My Grandfather Lloyd married Rosemary Cleek
when I do not know. She was born 10/01/1924. They had 7 children
in the following order; James, Richard, William (goes by Mike),
Patrick, Rose, Paul, and Joseph. Rose died at the age of 19
in St. Louis. (July 1972). Grandpa Lloyd died in January of
1977.
My Grandmother Rosemary changed her name when she
was about 16-17 from Maude. (Who could blame her??)Her mother
was Mary Alexander, I do not recall her father's name. Grandma
Rose also had a sister named Ann that was married to Glenn
Jaco. After my grandfather and great-aunt died, Uncle Glenn
and my grandmother lived together until his death in april
of 1990. Grandma Rose is still living in Marion
today.
Grandma Cleek, Mary (Alexander), from what I have been
told was born in Tennessee, and moved to Illinois as a little
girl. Her family owned a farm outside of Marion at one time.
I have her birth listed as 10/04/1898. She married John Cleek,
have no idea of the date. She died in November of
1985.
If anyone has any info about anyone of my relatives
listed here, I would really like to hear from you. You can reach
me at smbsa@bellsouth.net
Thank
You.
