Subject: Father's grave location
posted June 30, 2000 22:37 CT

My father, Robert Howard Dial, died in Nov, 1980. I have tried to find his grave site several times but have had no luck. The area has grown with so much housing, that I get lost trying to find the cemetary. All that I remember that it was out in the country--there may not even be a marker. How do I find out where the grave is and if there is a marker?

Regards-
Marsha

My g-grandfather, Hiram N. LANGLEY, married Martha Jane KENT in 1879 in Williamson Co. After Martha's death, Hiram later married her sister, Sarah KENT.

These girls were daughters of Joseph and Elizabeth KENT.

Does anyone out there know anything more about this KENT family? Anything!

Was wondering if someone could tell me what I would ask for if I was looking for sometime of settlement to children of someone who died in a mining accident. What would I request from the courthouse? I have the date of his death and I am sure that there was a fund set aside for my mother and her sister. Their mother was dead and the children were taken to live with Aunts. Anyone who could share some info, I would appreciate.

I am searching for information on William WILLIAMS. I was told that he was called "Billy Coot". The information I have is:
He married Sarah Green WALKER, born 1-18-1870 and died 1-30-1910, and they had Claude, born 4-1-1890 and died 9-7-1971. Claude married Minnie KEMPER, born 10-7-1891 and died 12-31-1973. William and Sarah divorced and Sarah married, on 10-4-1893, Oliver SANDERS. I would appreciate any information you could share with me.

Would anyone on the list be researching Herman C. CRAIN ?
He married Ollie HOWARD and they had 8 children. Ollie died rather young and 4 of the children were raised by her sister and brother-in-law. Kit & Emma CARSON.
The others by a grandmother Susan Jane PICK (PECK) CRAIN.
I believe the children of Herman & Ollie CRAIN were
Harlan, Eugene, Jess, Bess, Marguerite, Percy, Clyde and Emma Magdeline.
Magdeline is the only one that I have any information on
If anyone has any information on any of these people please contact me.
Thank you,
Sharon
