Craig family
I am looking for information on the Craig family, who reportedly owned farmland around Carterville and in the area that became Crab Orchard Lake. Frank Craig was my great-grandfather; he married (maybe not!) Agnes Koobs from Pekin, but left her before the birth of their daughter Dedaricka, and they divorced later. He may have had a brother named Cyrile, and a sister, Cinda. Parents names are uncertain. At one time I read historical accounts of a gang of Craigs involved in some criminal activity in southern IL, but don't know if there is any relation.

Margaret (Frey) Ramsey
I am seeking info on Margaret Frey,born ca 1851 in Williamson Co.,Illinois. Her parents were Simeon Frey(ca1828-ca1866) and Mary Jane Dean, and were both born in Robertson Co.,TN. Simeon and his brother Henry Frey both served in 128th Illinois Infantry in the Civil War. Margaret later married a William Ramsey.

Marion Schools and photos
Was wondering if anyone out there knows if the library in Marion or Johnson City carry School year Books in their libraries. The years I would be interested in 1900-1940. I am looking for any photos concerning Lannom/Lanhams. Anyone who can help me with finding any photos of Lannoms it would be greatly appreciated. My mothers parents died very early in her life and I have no photos of the family. Her mother died when she was 3 and she lost her father at the age of 5 in a coal mine accident. I know she was raised by an Aunt who resided in Williamson County. Please let me know if you can help.

Donald ACY
I'm looking for any information about Donald D. ACY(may also be known as ASA). He was born July, 1896, probably in Williamson County (Pulley's Mill). I believe his mother is Martha Asa. According to the 1900 Williamson County census, he was living with his grandparents, James and Mary Asa. A picture I have of him in approx. 1908 shows him with his half-sisters, Mary (my grandmother)and Vera Afton Farmer.

Mary and Afton were given up for adoption in 1908. I have no idea what happened to Donald or Martha.

Jesse CROW, born 1814
Sarah BISHOP CROW - married to Mr. BROWN, married to
Mr. ARMSTRONG and finally married to Jesse CROW.

Jesse CROW and Sarah BISHOP CROW had two children
born in Williamson Co., IL.: James Augustus CROW
and Myrtle May CROW.

Jesse CROW was also married to Lydia PHILKINS CROW
and they had one son, William Wesley CROW who was
born in DeSoto, Illinois.

Jesse CROW was also married to Laura BOWLBY and no
children are documented.

Jesse CROW, born 1844 died 06/29/1933; buried in
County, IL. Jesse CROW was married 3 times:
First wife: Laura BOWLBY CROW, married 8/4/1867 in Jcakson
Co., IL.
Second wife: Lydia PHILKINS CROW, Lydia PHILKINS CROW and
Jesse CROW had a son, William Wesley CROW who was
born in DeSoto, Illinois.
Third wife: Sarah BISHOP (born in Coffee Co., TN. in
1850), (married to BROWN, married to
ARMSTRONG) married Jesse CROW 11/06/1870 in Jackson
Co., IL. On marriage license Sarah BISHOP was listed
as Sarah A. BROWN when married to Jesse CROW.
Sarah BISHOP had several children with Mr. ARMSTRONG
prior to her marriage to Jesse CROW.
Sarah BISHOP and Jesse CROW had two children: Myrtle May
CROW and James Augustus CROW. Myrtle was several years
older than her brother, James Augustus CROW who was born 02/15/1880.
James Augustus CROW was born in Williamson Co., IL.
James Augustus CROW was my grandfather married to
Ollie Bertha PENNELL CROW in Pulaski Co., IL. They
had 3 children: Leonard CROW, Edith Captola CROW DANIELS
and Edna Marie CROW MARTIN. I am Evelyn DANIELS Hansson
daughter of Edith CROW and Raymond DANIELS.

I would like very much to learn more about the
