Thomas HARRIS
Researching HARRIS surname in Williamson Co. 1850 Williamson Co. IL 1850 census lists Thomas HARRIS, age 52, born NC; Francis HARRIS, age 52, born SC; and Irwin HARRIS, age 19, born IL. Believe "Irwin" is actually "Emery" Thomas HARRIS, my ancestor, who would have been 19, at time of the 1850 census. He was born in Illinois and his father was named Thomas HARRIS. Does anyone have evidence to disprove my assumption?

Walker, Brence, Bradley, Whitecotton, 128th Illinois Infantry
Searching for anyone who might be working the following lines from Williamson County - All from 1850-1870's - William Brence served in 128th Iillinois Infantry - Military records indicate he lived in the area from 1862-1866 - He married an Elizabeth Bradley - She was born in Indiana in 1835 - Census indicates her father was born in Scotland - Almost nothing known of her with exception that her sister - Lucreitia married Newton Pitcock - who was also from Williamson County and also served with 128th Illinois Infantry. Several Walker's are said to have arrived in Williamson County around 1860 - Names being tossed about are: Samuel Columbus Walker, Abraham Walker, Henry Price Walker, Silas Morgan Walker, George Walker. I would be very interested in exchanging information with anyone working the above lines. I am especially interested in anyone who has come across that Brence name in any of their research. Thanks in advance

new information and the old is incorrect. Also, I have a new e-mail address. My old address was: rethanss@iclub.org and my new address is: rethanss@ekucolonel.com

I am trying to determine the name of the husband of Laura Gosnell. From the S.S. Death Index, it indicates they lived in Herrin, and apparently, she moved to Marion when her husband died. It appears that his name is either Andy or Thomas. One was married to Laura, the other to Lela Gosnell.

Any help is appreciated.
